The best month of the year in Turin is September in terms of weather though I also love the city over Christmas - hot chestnut sellers, Christmas lights and often an open air ice rink in the main piazza surrounded by the Savoy King’s palaces. Turin really does offer a great Christmas atmosphere. This month I will take you on a walking tour of Turin and visit some of Turin’s museums. We visit a monastery that is straight out of the film “In the Name of the Rose” and then for dinner I would suggest my local restaurant. Gianni, the owner, and his family know how to put on a great feast!! His stuffed zucchini appetizer is great and we have the recipe for you. to be found in Turin is hard to beat. These include Europe’s biggest museum of Egyptology, Fabulous Art Galleries, Europe’s best Museum of Cinema, located in Turin’s version of the Eiffel Tower, and then of course there is the fruit museum!!

Combining a holiday in Italy with a language course is one of the best ways to really experience Italy. You learn the language, visit a beautiful part of Italy and experience the culture, traditions and cuisine with local people.
