Venice's Gothic Splendor

Our first stop takes us to the awe-inspiring Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, a majestic Gothic church that stands as a testament to Venice's rich cultural heritage. Maria and I were spellbound by its exterior and its simple, austere beauty. Inside, it was completely different. Step inside with us here and share in what we discovered.

Ca' Dario: A Tale of Intrigue

Venturing deeper into Venice's secrets, we visited Ca' Dario, a palatial mansion shrouded in mystery and tragedy. Legend has it that this elegant residence is cursed, with a history steeped in misfortune and untimely deaths. The building seemed to be watching us with its many little round "eyes," and we couldn't help but feel a shiver down our spines. Discover the terrible history of this palace of nightmares.

Must-Visit Near Venice

When the hustle and bustle of Venice gets too much and you need a tranquil retreat, there are many nearby gems that offer a sanctuary for the soul. We've six of the best right here for you.

Until next time, may your travels be filled with wonder and enchantment.

Ciao for now
Andrew, Maria, and William
