Welcome to My Italy in April

Put on your walking shoes today, we're going on a long walk around the Cinque Terre and then we'll head off a little way inland - to a gem of a village called Ameglia.

We've got something new too – a few photos of a truly lovely place to stay in Rome, where breakfast is served in a delightful garden filled with the aromas of freshly baked croissants and orange blossom – I hope you like the pics.

Then we've a little about our story and we explain the mystery of why our newsletter has an address in Canada at the bottom... even though neither of us have ever set foot in Canada.

One thing - if you don't have HTML enabled not all the links will be highlighted and they won't work. If that is the case just copy and paste them into your browser. Copy up to where it says .html

1) The Via dell'Amore & Beyond

With names like the Azure Trail and the Via dell'Amore you'd sort of expect the Cinque Terre walks to be something special. They are even better than the names suggest so come along with us and explore.

2) Dear Ameglia

A little way inland and to the south of the Cinque Terre you'll find a magical village where time seems to stand still. Up on the ancient walls you can gaze out from the Ligurian region, right across the Tuscan plains, to snow capped peaks in the distance, while far below a river flows into the blue Mediterranean. This then is Ameglia.

3) Oranges in Rome

Hope you enjoy the photos of the Santa Maria in Rome - you can read more about it here.

4) The Canadian Mystery

Why is the address at the bottom of my newsletter in Canada even though Maria and I have never been to Canada? It's because the company that hosts our site and ezine is based in Canada and Canadian law requires them to include a physical address.

I don't mind because this is a company with a heart of gold and they helped Maria and I to change our lives after we'd gone through very difficult times. You can read the story here.

Enjoy your weekend, and we'll be back again next month with more beautiful places in Italy.

Ciao
Andrew & Maria

P.S., are you off on vacation...anywhere? Please book through our site! Here's the link to bookmark. It won't cost you a cent/penny more and helps Maria and I to cover some of our expenses.

P.P.S. Please keep visiting often and I would suggest that you subscribe to the blogs on each of our sites if you have not already done so, you will automatically receive updates and new articles as they are added.
