The Vecchio Podere Santa Cristiana
Ingrid
and Phil Blades love the Piedmont. It shows in every aspect of their
fabulous B&B/wine farm. Any place that has a five star Trip Advisor
rating tends to be excellent and this certainly is.
The Vecchio Podere Santa Cristiana is exactly the type of place you should stay in when visiting Piedmont Italy. Out in the countryside but not far from some of the highlights of Piedmont. Stay here, hire a car and explore Piedmont wine country to your hearts content.
The accommodation on offer ranges from the B & B option through to self catering. All rooms are furnished to a high standard and have all the “necessities” of modern life - from hairdryer, satellite TV through to DVD player and broadband internet.
Ingrid and Phil are also pretty decent wine makers. Try their Barbera produced from grapes grown on their estate and buy yourself a case to take home.
The way they describe their home captures exactly that which is so perfect about the Piedmont and their farm/B & B. It is exactly what I have tried to convey elsewhere on my site: “You will find no hybrid culture, no diluted cultural norms; this place is genuine and 100% authentic, the real Italy lives on.
If you are up for the adventure of discovering great wine and food and exploring one of the few places in mainland Europe with oodles of history and culture but not yet overrun with tourists, then we will be delighted to welcome you here.”
You most certainly won’t regret it and you will take home some wonderful memories and some excellent Piedmont wine.
Congratulations to Ingrid and Phil for offering perhaps the best Bed and Breakfast in Piedmont Italy.

“Why did you come to Rome, why The Vatican?” I asked. “I grew up as a Muslim hearing how this place was very holy to the Christians and I wanted to see for myself.” he answered. “And?” I questioned…
